Inspire rehab & psychology are excited to be involved in 5th INS/ASSBI Pacific Rim Conference Sydney 2015.

We are happy to announce our participation in the next Evening Lecture.

The event will take place at Advance Rehab Centre next Tuesday 19th of May at 6 pm.

We are going to present the Psychologist’s role in ABI

Samantha Grant, our Senior Clinical Psychologist, will explain how to tackle behaviours which limit participation in therapy.


- Promoting skill development in individuals with mood disorders, such as depression.

- Promoting skill development in individuals with anxiety disorders, such as obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, and social phobias.

- Promoting skill development in dealing with anger and frustration.


- Adjustment to traumatic injuries.

- Family and social network supports.

- Dealing with physical, cognitive and psychological changes after traumatic injury.

- Working with rehabilitation teams, including case managers, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, psychiatrists, GPs and other specialists to achieve goals.

- Provide behavioural support strategies and intervention with teams.

- Assessment of behavioural, emotional and cognitive changes following catastrophic events.

- Recommendations and advice for future treatment needs.

- Supporting change when alcohol and other substances are involved.

Providing a goal directed approach, supporting individuals and their support networks to be inspired to achieve their goals.
